From car park mishap to clean finish

I needed Car Scratch Repair after a clumsy moment left a fresh mark on my car, but what followed was a more info surprisingly simple fix that improved the look.

It happened near Heaton Park on a typical afternoon when I misjudged a low barrier while parking. The scratch looked quite obvious, and I knew it would ruin the look if left.

Later that evening, I started looking around and came across AutoScratch. The site felt clear, so I sent over a few pictures and a short explanation. I got a reply within a reasonable time with a quote that seemed reasonable, and we arranged a convenient time.

On the day, the technician arrived right when expected and walked me through the process in a approachable way. First, the damaged area was properly cleaned to remove any dirt. Then came the sanding, which prepared the area. A small amount of filler was used since the scratch had a slight depth, and once that set, the colour matching began. I was impressed by how closely they matched the paint, it looked very close. The blending process followed, where the new paint was evenly worked into the surrounding area so there were no harsh lines. Finally, everything was polished, giving it a smooth finish. Watching each step made me realise how much detail goes into what seems like a simple repair.

Once it was all done, the scratch was basically invisible unless I really looked for it. The whole experience felt hassle free, especially since I did not need to leave home. The turnaround was well paced, and the workmanship was clearly careful. That said, I do think this kind of service is best for surface level problems rather than anything too severe. For my situation though, it worked out exactly how I needed, and driving past Manchester Piccadilly Station again without noticing the scratch felt like a small win.
